Last night I gave a little preview sneak peak leak to my lovely mailing list friends. I'm really sorry to them that the presentation was so lackluster (Google Groups has no html capabilities! What the?). A few people responded back telling me of the link weaknesses and the general blah-ness of the format. Today I hope to make up for that with these nice new images of each of the 3 color groups.
I'd like to officially announce that I've been working with Henry Glass & Co. (ah, the secret is out!) If you'd like your local quilt shop to carry the collection (or any part of), they can contact their local rep or distributor by going to the links on the Henry Glass & Co website! (and here's their blog) Dogwood's release for sale date is August 18th and it's due to ship in October of this year! I really encourage you to inquire, if you're truly interested. Getting the word out is going to be one of my little projects with my newly freed up time for business. While you're stopping in at the website, please take a look at their collections and the other talented designers they work with.

Dogwood is my first quilt fabric collection with Henry Glass- actually my first collection for this market ever- and I'm honored to be working with such a great bunch of people- specifically, Robert Fortunoff Owner, Larry Reichenberg President of Henry Glass and Karen Junquet Design Director of Henry Glass. I couldn't ask for a more supportive team- truly a pleasure to work with them all. Jaftex, the parent company, and I have had a long working relationship together throughout my professional career. Then one fine day when Larry was by the office, he caught sight of my What's Buzzin, Cuzzin? line and asked if I'd be interested in doing a collection specifically for them- that they were interested in stepping into the more contemporary realm and the combination of my design style and my experience with them would be a perfectly natural way to get started. "Uh, YES!!!" What I bring to Henry Glass is a distinctively more modern and youthful look than that of their more traditional quilt lines. It's fresh, clean and retro-inspired with a contemporary theme. I'm excited that the line has been so warmly received by their customers and so much so, that we are plowing forward to get this available for an October delivery (now, that is FAST!). So there will be plenty of time to make holiday craft gifts with Dogwood fabric- so get on to your favorite quilt shop and let them know you are interested.
You can look for the entire Dogwood collection at the International Quilt Market in Houston on October 25-27th. They tell me there is a quilt being made of the design I developed for the free worksheet (eep!) and they'll be touting my goods as a new designer on the scene, so hopefully there will be lots of whoopla!I'll be uploading these images as downloadable .pdfs later tonight (done!) which can be retrieved on the right where the little Dogwood logo is, and on the left in the downloadables column. I can't guarantee the colors Folks, I'm just pumping out artwork left and right in attempt to help market this thing! I'll also be creating a few small and simple home accessory items as downloadable tutorials and don't think for a second that I won't be having a giveaway the moment I get my hands on that fabric! So stay tuned!!
Thanks so much for all your interest and support on this incredible creative and professional journey! I have been really inspired and propelled by all the emails and comments I get, so please, do keep them coming! I love to hear from you.
XO!
Michelle
