The last few posts have been a bit me-centric. Today it's back to my original theme for this blog: inspiration.
This post may seem a bit redundant to a few readers since so many of these talented ladies have been highlighted lately, but I really do want to thank each and every one for doing what they do and doing it so well. You are all inspiring, and while stalking is an exaggeration, suffice it to say, that I have kept my eye on your work for some time now. Most from my introduction to Etsy, and others I've caught along the way. Without all this fabric candy to look at, I may have stayed in the realms of paper.
Each one of these textile artists brings her own perspective and methods to the mix. Some hand screen, some have their work hand screened by skilled artisans, some get theirs digitally printed, others block print, some hand draw, some are aided by a computer and some borrow from nature. ALL of them are brilliant, in my opinion.

I think it's really nice you've highlighted some of your favorite artists here. Some of them I recognize, like Skinny La Minx and Of Paper and Thread, and others I'm not familiar with...so I'm excited to visit their sites for new inspiration!

Thanks so much for the introduction to these incredibly talented folks and their wonderful works of art. I am much more familiar with painting and illustration versus textile art, and it's a great introduction for me.
